Eisenhorn (A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus) Dan Abnett
Publisher:

I recently reread the Eisenhorn omnibus and I have got to say, it is a really cool story. The Eisenhorn omnibus — comprised of the trilogy Xenos, Malleus and Hereticus, and a couple of short stories — chronicles Eisenhorn's transformation from devout (though not quite orthodox) Inquisitor to someone who is a lot more sympathetic to the ways of Chaos. I have to say overall that I liked the I actually enjoy omnibuses, at least of Warhammer 40k books, because they're usually about $15 and contain three or four books which individually would cost $24-32 (Averaging about $8 a book) and it takes up less shelf space than the individual books. Being overall satisfied with Dan's writings I decided to pick up the Eisenhorn omnibus a while ago and finally sat down and got to reading it. The hook occurred with the first sentences of Ian Watson's magisterial trilogy The What makes Eisenhorn different from the usual Black Library volume is it spends most of the time amongst the ordinary and everyday in the grim 41st millennium. Amazon.com: Eisenhorn (A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus) (9781844161560): Dan Abnett… I really enjoyed this book(3 books in 1 rather, 900ish pages)! It follows an inquisitor through about 300 years. Needless to say these awesome This novel is a landmark in Black Library's publishings as it was the first 40k novel to go into the lives of ever day citizens in the Imperium and because of that I will do my best to make this one of the richest and most detailed games of Dark Heresy that will ever be played. In the grim far future, the Inquisition moves amongst mankind like an avenging shadow, striking down daemons, aliens and heretics with uncompromising ruthlessness. It was a nice re-introduction into this world. I would not recommend this Ominbus as an introduction to the Universe of 40k however, unless the idea of the Inquisition is especially appealing to the reader. I preserved my sanity by rediscovering Warhammer 40K, this time in the omnibus editions of the Black Library novels I found in the local Barnes & Noble. The Ravenor trilogy, collected in this Omnibus, takes place in the bleak setting of Warhammer 40,000, where there is only war. Dan Abnett - Ravenor: The Omnibus. The things that make It's a rich universe – Eisenhorn taps into the bountiful, well-thought-out world of Warhammer 40K gaming that has developed over more than two decades.
